In the distance can be seen the famous Sigiriya rock, a World Heritage site and considered the eighth wonder of the world. Nearby are other cultural sites such as PoIonnaruwa and Dambulla. There is also an excellent Ayurveda Spa offering a range of health and beauty treatments.
