Raja Ampat Biodiversity Nature Resort
Raja Ampat Biodiversity Nature Resort is a small, sustainably run lodge set on a quiet beach on Gam Island, surrounded by rainforest and the exceptionally rich marine waters of the Dampier Strait. With just a handful of traditionally built cottages along the shoreline, it offers a simple, comfortable base in one of Indonesia’s most biodiverse regions.
The resort provides easy access to many of Raja Ampat’s best snorkelling and dive sites, with an excellent house reef only metres from shore. Guests can explore nearby islands, visit local villages, or look for birdlife in the surrounding forest, returning to relaxed communal meals and a friendly, low‑key atmosphere. Its strong commitment to sustainability and community involvement makes it a good choice for those seeking an environmentally responsible stay in a remarkable natural setting.

Area Specialist
For the best chance of seeing the red bird‑of‑paradise, join the lodge’s guided dawn walk into the forest; the display trees are only active for a short window after first light, and local guides know exactly which leks are currently in use.

It was an epic and stunning holiday which we will remember for a very long time. A highlight was seeing the Hornbills, Tarsiers, Bear Cuscus and The Sulawesi Crested Macaque in Tangkoko National Park. As usual your organisation of this trip was excellent.
