An unpretentious, simple Belizean-owned lodge situated in the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary and catering to birdwatchers and nature lovers for over 14 years. Possibly the best birding in Belize is found here.
Restaurant with two dining rooms (indoor and patio), lounge with wi-fi and TV
Over 300 bird species, including jabiru and wood storks, glossy ibis, roseate spoonbill, osprey and, surprisingly, southern lapwing, which is a native of Chile
On site: birding by boat at dawn on Crooked Tree lagoon, horse riding, canoeing, nature walks. Half-day tours off site include Lamanai, Altun Ha, La Milpa and Xunantunich Maya sites, Baboon (howler monkey) Sanctuary and Belize Zoo.
Number of rooms
The best time to see the bird life at Birds Eye View is from February to April when the water levels are lower and the birds are more concentrated in number.
