Burbayar Lodge
The six cabins are simple yet comfortable and were newly refurbished in 2019. Main building has a dining area, library and lounge. Each cabin is en suite with comfortable beds, charging points, ceiling fan, reading lamps and 24-hour electricity.
The lush grounds contain native plants and orchids which attract a large number of birds, butterflies and other wildlife.
In the 148-acre private reserve there are various nature trails to rivers and waterfalls.

Local Wildlife
Harpy eagle, jaguar, tapir, Geoffroy's tamarin, collared peccary, tamandua, paca, many different species of frogs
Various rare species of birds including sapayoa, xenornis, yellow-eared toucanet, rufous-winged and sulphur-rumped tanagers, plumbeous hawk
Optional Activities
The main activity is birdwatching either from the lodge itself or on hikes on the nature trails

En route to Burbayar you can take a boat ride on Lake Bayano and visit a Kuna village. After staying at Burbayar you can carry on northwards to the San Blas Islands in the Caribbean.
