Casa Andina Classic Colca Canyon
The Casa Andina Classic Colca Canyon hotel is located in the small town of Chivay in the breathtaking Colca Canyon. The region holds some fascinating and important historical sites including the San Antonio Pre-Inca Ruins, Yanque Church and the Cruz del Condor – the best location in Peru to see the magnificent Andean condor.
There are 52 stone cottage-style rooms with thatched roofs, tiled floors and rustic decor. Each room has double or single beds, private bathrooms, heating lamps and safety deposit box.

Restaurant, garden, patio, internet centre, planetarium and laundry service. Wi-Fi is available in the communal areas. A massage service is available on request.
Optional Activities
Tours of Colca Canyon including visits to 2,000-year-old ancient villages, the Uyo Uyo ruins and the amphitheatre where pre-Incas stored their seeds before exploring the 4,160-metre deep canyon. From Cruz del Condor, watch majestic Andean condors taking to the thermals at the start of the day.

Two jaguars in a day! Giant otter baby. Six species of primate and over 75 species of bird.
We had amazing sightings of wildlife at Manu Wildlife Centre and in Manu National Park from the boat.
We had an amazing time and loved all aspects of the tour, the local people, food and wildlife. We wish we had longer and would recommend doing Lima first to get over the travel (jet lag and altitude, but we appreciate that had to happen with tour length. We were really surprised at the lack of tourists – we were the only people at Romero and Manu Wildlife Centre and it is concerning to hear how quiet these places are since covid. We would recommend Peru to anyone wanting to see wildlife and culture!
Two weeks before [the winter solstice in June] they celebrate in Cuzco every day, with parades, music and dancing. We loved seeing all these celebrations and would definitely recommend this time of year to visit.
