Cavas Wine Lodge

Scroll

Nestled in a well-tended Mendoza vineyard against a backdrop of snow-capped Andean mountains is the imposing Cavas Wine Lodge.

The main entrance and lounge are elegantly sculpted and tastefully decorated with modern paintings. The well-travelled owners, Cecilia Díaz Chuit and Martín Rigal, have created a tranquil, friendly and luxurious atmosphere for guests to enjoy the world-famous wines of this temperate region.

The spacious rooms are in private houses set amongst the vineyard and offer exceptional views of the mountains. The buildings, screened from each other to give maximum privacy, have plenty of interior charm. Each room has comfortable beds, mini bar, TV, air conditioning, central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers, bathrobes, toiletries, large bath, fireplace, walk-in closet, private decks with dining table and a private plunge pool.

The restaurant serves excellent Latin American cuisine and the main outdoor terrace has bar service, an inviting pool and sun loungers. There is a separate sauna area with private treatment rooms and Jacuzzis. On some evenings a tango show and BBQ are offered. Activities that can be arranged from the lodge include horse riding, mountain biking, rafting, cooking classes, swimming, trekking and visits to local wine producers for tours and tastings. The town of Mendoza, 40-minutes’ drive away, can be visited for exploration, shopping and dining in the evenings.
