Bogota is one of the highest cities in Latin America. It is 2640 mts. above sea level. This might make you feel tired frequently during your visit. This is known as mountain sickness or altitude sickness. When you get to the city, rest during your first day, take deep breaths and drink water constantly. Try to avoid smoking and drinking alcohol, eat lightly and when you do, choose carbs and food rich in sugar, and keep yourself warm.
