Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island
Beautiful Desroches Island sits in the Seychelles’ Amirante Archipelago, considered one of the world’s most pristine. There are miles of stunning white sand beaches, healthy coral reefs, and lush native tropical forest to enjoy. To reach Desroches, you take a scenic 40-minute flight over the vast Indian Ocean from Mahé Airport, with five scheduled services operating per week.
A few years ago, the resort on Desroches was taken over and refurbished by the world-renowned Four Seasons Hotel chain, resulting in understated yet palpable luxury in a stunning location—ideal for couples, honeymooners, and families looking for somewhere just that little bit more special.
Rooms are housed in individual villas, each located just metres from the picture-book beaches surrounding the island. Several room categories are available, including beach villas and bungalows, two-bedroom villas, and three- or seven-bedroom presidential villas. Complimentary bicycles allow guests to explore the island at their leisure, with a buggy service available for those who prefer it.
The resort offers a varied choice of dining venues, all serving delicious fare. A new addition is AHI, a Japanese restaurant that provides an East-meets-West culinary experience, enriching the island’s already diverse food options. Claudine is an all-day, Mediterranean-inspired restaurant next to the pool; the Deli offers fresh, light snacks throughout the day; the Lighthouse specialises in freshly grilled meats and seafood; and in-villa dining is available 24 hours a day. There are also several bars, including the main bar, beach bar, and lighthouse lounge bar.
Desroches has always been famous in the Seychelles for its scuba diving sites, with the legendary Desroches Drop and the Circus cave dive being highlights. Excellent reef snorkelling can be found just off the beach at various points around the island, while kayaking the lagoon and guided nature walks provide opportunities to witness the island’s unique wildlife—including giant tortoises and, if lucky, turtles laying their eggs.
To protect the coastline and mitigate beach erosion caused by climate change, the Islands Development Company (IDC) has been installing reef balls off the resort’s shoreline. These artificial reef structures help restore coral reefs and are expected to be fully in place by December 2025.
For relaxation and rejuvenation, the island’s spa remains a must-visit, offering world-class therapies and soothing massages. Guests can also take advantage of exclusive experiences, including private yoga sessions, snorkelling excursions, and Creole cooking classes, as well as enticing promotions such as all-inclusive dining and discounted stays for longer visits.
Desroches Island continues to offer a rare blend of natural beauty and refined luxury, ensuring visitors enjoy an unforgettable experience in one of the world’s most spectacular destinations.

Thank you for all your excellent coordination of the multi travel and island hopping. We really enjoyed the wildlife experience offered by the Seychelles. [Your representatives] were very good in their arrangements and organisation locally.
