Coast and Beaches
Jais Aben Resort
The Jais Aben Resort is situated in 22 acres of former coconut plantation on the tip of a peninsula on the Bismarck Sea coast 19km from Madang.
There is a choice of spacious bungalows on the beachfront with views out to sea, air conditioning or ceiling fans, mini-bar, veranda and some have a small kitchenette and seating area. The main building has reception and bar and an a la carte restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served. A lunch menu is available at the beachfront bar and grill.
The diving in the reefs off the coast from the resort is some of the best in the world, the reefs having remained in a healthy state because of the remoteness of the location.
Other attractions include World War 2 plane wrecks (one is just off the resort’s beach and makes an interesting first dive), kayaking, pottery demonstrations and town markets.

Restaurant, bar, lounge, air conditioning, ceiling fans, gym, mini-bar, kitchenette area, games room.

There should never be less than three nights in this sensational location [Ambua Lodge] with a superb climate (hot during the day and cool at night) with very good food, and seeing the amazing Huli Wigmen with their outstanding head-dresses.
