La Floresta Hotel

Scroll

La Floresta Hotel is situated close to the centre of the delightful town of Banos in central Ecuador. The hotel is quiet and cosy with traditional décor and artwork around the rooms and halls, and the communal area has a warm fireplace, TV and seating, table tennis room, gift shop and massage room.

In the centre of the hotel is a flower rich garden that attracts several hummingbird species and there are hammocks and balconies from which to enjoy them.

The hotel’s restaurant/café serves a daily tasty buffet breakfast, with lunches and dinners prepared on request.

La Floresta Hotel has 29 rooms including double, triple and family options, all with private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi – many rooms also have private balconies overlooking the garden.

A short walk from the hotel takes you into central Banos where several good restaurants and shops await discovery. It is not far to access the hot bath springs after which the town got its name, or the start or the locally famous waterfall trail.

The trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos was excellent. The boat was very comfortable and well run and the jungle lodge was fascinating – we saw lots of wildlife, including a rainbow boa beneath our cabin. You were right to advise us to spend the whole week in the islands – any less would not have been long enough. We are certainly considering going to Peru with [our friends] next year, so shall be in touch.
