Lodge Caleta Gonzalo is the ideal base to discover and venture into the beautiful Pumalin Douglas Tompkins National Park. The area is surrounded by sea, rivers, mountains, ancient forests and even volcanoes.
Lodge Caleta Gonzalo has rustic and comfortable little cabins and a brilliant restaurant that will provide you with a Patagonian experience with an authentic feel. The property was designed and built by Doug and Kris Tompkins. Its wonderful staff will provide fantastic hospitality that will enhance your stay in Northern Patagonia, or your journey on the Carretera Austral, to become an unforgettable experience.
Facilities
Restaurant serving good food, Wi-Fi (available in the restaurant only). The Cascadas hiking trail begins directly next to the lodge. Knowledgeable guides can provide guided walks on the park’s trails.
There are seven cabins and two larger ones that are self-contained with a kitchenette. None of the rooms have TV’s.

Our first day of puma tracking was definitely the highlight. The weather was good and we saw distant pumas in the morning and a group of six around a guanaco kill in the afternoon. Spending 2.5 hours watching the interactions between the different individuals was fascinating.
