Lodge El Taique is a small, family-run property overlooking Lake Rupanco in Chile’s Lake District. With just five lodge rooms and five fully equipped cabins, it offers a peaceful base with heating, Wi-Fi, restaurant, bar and hot tub. Guests can make the most of its panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes and easy access to Puyehue National Park, making it an ideal choice for those seeking tranquillity and nature-focused activities.

Birds: Magellanic woodpecker, crested caracara, Magellanic tapaculo, Chilean flicker, peregrine falcon, Chilean pigeon, green-backed firecrown, rufous-tailed plantcutter, Des Murs's wiretail, black-faced ibis, rufous-collared sparrow, Andean condor, white-crested elaenia, dark-bellied cinclodes, Austral thrush, southern lapwing, upland goose, Chilean swallow, black-throated huet-huet, torrent duck, ringed kingfisher.
Mammals: Chilean shrew opossum, pudu, South American grey fox, culpeo, kodkod, monito del monte, Molina's hog-nosed skunk, coypu, lesser grison, puma.
Amphibians: Darwin's frog, rosy ground frog, olive spiny-chest frog, banded wood frog, marbled wood frog, emerald forest frog, Emilio's ground frog.
