Scroll

Naia Resort and Spa is a luxury beach front property along the Placencia Peninsula, set within its own private 200 acre reserve. The resort aims to be a natural, intimate ‘home away from home’, and the homely accommodation facilitates ultimate relaxation and comfort for guests. Whether looking for a relaxing break or an activity-packed holiday, the resort offers the chance to observe fascinating marine or terrestrial wildlife, and encounter Belizean culture and history.

Its variety of accommodation options makes Naia perfect for any group – from couples to larger families – and the available dining options also ensure that all tastes are catered for.

Facilities

All rooms are equipped with ensuite bathrooms including bath tubs and showers, as well as private outdoor showers. Hairdryers, bathrobes, toiletries and irons are provided, as well as safety deposit boxes, telephones, torches and umbrellas. The rooms have a modern, fresh design making use of local art and décor, and include free wifi, large flat screen smart televisions and Bose sound systems. Due to the homely nature of the accommodation, all rooms include basic kitchen facilities (coffee maker, kettle and fridge), , whist the villas with two or more bedrooms also have full kitchen and dining facilities. Many room categories boast their own private plunge pools, but there is also a public beach-side pool available.

Dining options are available thanks to the resort’s three restaurants. The Beach Bar and Grill is open until every day, offering breakfast and lunch as well as poolside drinks and snacks. The Reflections Spa Café is available for ultimate relaxation and healthy, nourishing meals, whilst the main restaurant – 1981 Restaurant – is the only one open in the evenings and serves Belizean cuisine with a modern and refined twist.
The Naia Spa offers ultimate luxury relaxation, with several waterfront treatment suites spread over six acres to allow the utmost privacy. Alongside its vast menu of treatments, the spa complex also is the site of yoga and fitness classes.

Local Wildlife

Different excursions are available which focus on certain local species. For example, a day trip through the jungle aims to find scarlet macaws, as well as other parrot species and possibly even toucan. Visiting the Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve offers the opportunity to see these extraordinary yet elusive members of the big cat family, whilst a boat trip through the mangroves offers sightings of howler monkeys, iguanas and crocodiles. Venturing out into the barrier reef give guests the chance to see a wide array of corals and tropical fish species, as well as nurse and reef sharks, various ray species and turtles.

Optional Activities

The resort’s location – nestled between the beaches of the Caribbean and the inland forests – allows a variety of activities to be offered. The inland activities include zip-lining, river tubing, scarlet macaw watching tours and trips to local waterfalls. On the other side, guests can partake in diving and snorkelling excursions, fishing trips and even boat trips to private islands where they ca relax in privacy and comfort. In addition, the resort stays true to its Belizean pride by offering many cultural experiences, such as visits to Mayan sites and ancient caves, and tours of spice farms and chocolate plantations. The resort therefore is the perfect place for guests who value luxury and relaxation, but also have a keen interest in the local wildlife and culture of Belize.

Really enjoyed eating traditional Belizian food and the variation between hotels. Every single member of staff we met was friendly, pleasant and helpful and we had a fabulous time. The holiday itinerary fulfilled out brief and our expectations – a big thank you for that.
