Plataran Borobodur was fabulous, so luxurious, fantastic food and everyone was so friendly. We decided not to go to Borobodur last year as we have ‘done temples’ but wow we hadn’t realised what we had missed. It is one of the most beautiful temples we had ever been to, only to be equalled by Prambanan! The guide was really good here and made it all the more interesting. The palace was interesting and we had a good local guide here – a woman who had a bit of a sense of humour so made it more interesting. Anyone going to Indonesia should have a mandatory visit to the temples. Ramadan worked in our favour here as the tourist count was down remarkably we walked round the palace and both temples with hardly anyone there.
