Santorini Mozambique

Accommodation is in the form of suites within villas. The Main villa is the centre point of the resort and contains five suites, each named after the islands of the archipelago, as well as a lounge, pool courtyard, TV room, bar, dining area and ocean front patio. Each suite is elegantly designed with its own unique feel, and all feature private balconies with sun loungers and parasols. A short walk from the Main Villa is The Chapel, an exclusive use villas with two sea-facing suites, kitchen, lounge, plunge pool, dining area and a private chef and host. Villa de Praia is another great option for groups, featuring the same amenities as The Chapel but with three suites – two ocean facing and one with a garden view. Children under 12 are not permitted to stay in the Main Villa, but are allowed in The Chapel and Villa de Praia.
The chefs at Santorini create delicious menus highlighting local produce, using vegetables and herbs grown in the resort’s own garden and fresh local seafood. Homemade ice cream is available throughout the day, and the BBQ and pizza oven in the courtyard are often fired up for lunch. There are many options for dining location, from romantic private beach picnics, to lunches by the pool, to impressive BBQs served in the open-air boma along with local song and dance from the Santorini staff. The food is complemented perfectly by the impressive selection of wine in the cellar. Local Wildlife
As one of the largest marine reserves in the Indian Ocean, the archipelago supports over 2000 species of fish, as well as dolphins, whales, turtles and sharks. It also holds the largest population of dugong in Mozambique. The archipelago consists of five islands: Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Banque and Santa Carolina. It is a birder's paradise, with a recorded list of over 180 species. You’ll also find 45 reptile and amphibian species; suni antelope, red duiker, endemic butterflies and the characteristic Samango monkey on the islands within the national park.
Optional Activities
Being on the mainland, guests have the opportunity to experience everything this magical place has to offer, from spending a day out on the magical waters surrounded by flamingos to exploring the colourful markets of Vilanculos town. The on-site activities room has complimentary kayaks, stand up paddle boards, snorkelling gear, fishing gear and gym equipment. The resort has a motorised super catamaran, Aphrodite, which guests can charter for trips to the islands of the Bazaruto archipelago. Optional outsourced activities can be arranged for guests, including fishing, horse riding, ‘dhow’ boat safaris, scuba diving, kite surfing and helicopter tours.
