This former home compound of one of the Rajput ruling families of Bharatpur, The Bagh is now a heritage boutique hotel with highly individual rooms and excellent curries. There are 23 colonial style rooms in small single story blocks within a beautiful 200 year old garden with many fruit trees and filled with birds. There is an excellent spa and swimming pool.
Restaurant, bar, spa, swimming pool, orchards, rooms with ceiling fans and veranda.
Good local birdwatching in the hotel grounds. The nearby Keoladeo National Park is a birder’s paradise with many winter migrants, Siberian crane and eagle owl, as well as langur, python and freshwater turtle
Birdwatching in the National Park by rickshaw.
The hotel and nearby national park make a perfect break from the dust, heat and game drives of the tiger parks. Enjoy gentle wildlife watching by rickshaw in the national park but also make time to wander the gardens and orchards of the hotel: wonderfully peaceful and relaxing and sometimes offering a few wildlife surprises.

[The Bagh] is excellent due to its character. There is a great colonial atmosphere, helpful staff, good food and a great pool.
