Half an hour’s drive from Nuwara Eliya stands Heritance Tea Factory, a former working tea factory built in the 1930s on the edge of a huge tea estate and now an elegant boutique hotel.

There is a choice of superior rooms and suites, all expertly designed to provide ample luxury. Excursions to several sites nearby are possible, including visits to Nuwara Eliya and the high altitude Horton Plains plateau with World’s End. Very interesting place. We even enjoyed the drive there and back. The room was nice and buffet meals were good. We were even given a bunch of flowers ad a cake, which was a nice touch!
