Access into Bangweulu is a little awkward but it’s a real highlight for committed birders.

Due to the remoteness of the park, it is not the most economical of places to visit. Access is either by road transfer, self-drive or with a private driver, or by air.
There are only two accommodation options, both of which are relatively low key and functional. Game drives, walking and boating coupled with viewing from the hide are the activities available. The best time to visit to see the bat migration is from October to December.
