Arctic Svalbard Cruise: Land of the Ice Bears
Tour Introduction
Sail deep into the High Arctic aboard the National Geographic Resolution, a modern expedition vessel purpose‑built for exploring remote polar realms in comfort and safety. Over the course of your expedition you’ll navigate a pristine wilderness of sculpted fjords, drifting pack ice and towering snow‑clad peaks – a landscape ruled by the world’s largest land predator, the magnificent polar bear.
Travelling in the company of expert naturalists, you’ll venture by ship and Zodiac into some of Svalbard’s most wildlife‑rich waters. Keep watch for walrus hauled out on ice floes, reindeer grazing the tundra and Arctic foxes patrolling the shoreline, all illuminated by the long, luminous days of the Arctic spring and early summer.
