Full Itinerary

Price from  3120 per adult. Based on sharing double / twin rooms
Day 1
Lake Duluti

Met on arrival and transfer to your lodge on the banks of Lake Duluti. Rest of day free to relax and explore the local area (optional guided tours are available).

Staying at Arusha Serena Hotel. Includes Breakfast.

Day 2
Tarangire National Park

Free morning to enjoy the facilities of the hotel or take one of their optional tours. Enjoy a safari briefing then after lunch pick up by 4x4 vehicle with photo roof and a maximum of seven passengers (guaranteed window seats) and game drive en route to the Tarangire National Park.

South of Lake Manyara and just over 100km from Arusha, this is a delightful and somewhat underrated National Park. Covering 2,600 sq km, it has a large amount of game and numerous wide-bowed baobab trees creating a distinctive landscape not seen elsewhere in the north. The park is exceptionally good for elephants and herds of 50 or 60 individuals are not uncommon. Leopards, python, kudu, wildebeest, zebra and eland are also common here.

Staying at Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Includes All Meals.

Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park

Morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park followed by lunch at your lodge. There is a small population of unusual tree-climbing lions and African wild dog here. Leopards are also widespread throughout the park, but are shy are often difficult to see. The normally rare African rock python is often found resting in acacia trees close to wetlands near Silale.

Enjoy lunch at your lodge before continuing the journey to Lake Manyara National Park. As the road ascends the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your lodge, gracefully perched above the valley with panoramic views over the lake and surrounding plains.

Staying at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Includes All Meals.

Day 4
Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The lake itself is home to lesser flamingos and other water birds. Hippo can be found in the Simba River and large herds of elephant and buffalo on the open plains. Enjoy lunch at the hotel and take a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park.

Staying at Serena Serengeti Lodge Lodge. Includes All Meals.

Day 5
Serengeti National Park

Enjoy morning and afternoon games drives in the world famous Serengeti National Park. The annual migration of over two million animals through the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem is one of the world’s great wildlife spectacles. Dominated by wildebeest but also containing large numbers of zebra, gazelle and, of course, many expectant carnivores, the migration is largely controlled by the rains and its timing varies accordingly. The plains also support an exceptional diversity of large game throughout the year, including elephant, hippo, black rhino, giraffe, buffalo, eland, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, Burchell’s zebra, lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena and many more. An OPTIONAL balloon safari can be taken in the morning (please book in advance).

Staying at Serena Serengeti Lodge. Includes All Meals.

Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater

After a leisurely breakfast, depart the lodge and begin your journey toward the majestic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying game viewing along the way. A scenic picnic lunch is served en route, offering a chance to dine amidst the breathtaking beauty of the African wilderness.

By afternoon, you’ll arrive at your lodge, dramatically perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Take time to unwind and absorb the sweeping views of this extraordinary landscape before indulging in a sumptuous dinner and settling in for a peaceful overnight stay in one of Tanzania’s most iconic settings.

Staying at Serena Ngorongoro Lodge. Includes All Meals.

Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy a full day tour in the Ngorongoro Crater (with picnic lunch). Often proclaimed as one of the wonders of the natural world, it is difficult to give a fair description to the enormity and beauty of the Crater. A steep wall of thick forest surrounds the circumference, which looks into a natural amphitheatre 260 sq km in size. Within the crater is a diverse ecosystem representing nearly every habitat found in East Africa.

There are open grasslands which are home to wildebeest, zebra, lion, cheetah and black rhino. Acacia woodland provides cover for leopards and swamps provide food for elephants and buffalos. Fresh water pools harbour hippos and a small soda lake is home to flamingos. There are small outcrops of rocks which often provide shade for lions and even an arid area of shifting sand dunes.

As the crater offers good grazing throughout the year, it is able to support a very large density of resident game and associated carnivores. The surrounding conservation area is also home to the legendary Maasai tribe. These unique people are seen high on the Crater rim, where young warriors (or children) tend to the cattle, armed with nothing more than a short spear.

Staying at Serena Ngorongoro Lodge. Includes All Meals.

Day 8
Depart Kilimanjaro

Rise early and enjoy the sunrise over the Ngorongoro Crater. Return to Arusha for lunch (included). Transfer back to the international airport or continue to Zanzibar and/or other parts of Tanzania.

Includes Breakfast and Lunch.
