Luna Salada Hotel De Sal
Built on a small area of elevated land, on the edge of the Salar de Uyuni, Luna Salada has panoramic views of this other-worldly landscape. Immediately to the West lies the vast expanse of brilliant white salt flats, stretching out as far as the eye can see.
The hotel’s primary construction material is locally harvested salt from the adjacent flats. This includes the room’s walls, floors and even furniture. Locally woven fabrics add further Andean character to the spaces and plush warm bedding helps to ensure you stay comfortable throughout the cold nights that are typical here.
A games area has a pool table and darts. There is a library and hammocks are dotted about, ensuring you will have no problem unwinding here.
The on-site restaurant, Tunupa, serves delicious regional cuisine, with breakfast included for every guest. A small spa can offer you a massage in one of its treatment rooms, or a chance to take a break in the jacuzzi or steam room, complete with those spectacular views.
