The M/V Hondius is Oceanwide Expeditions’ flagship polar-class vessel, purpose-built for immersive exploration in the Arctic and Antarctic. As the world’s first-registered Polar Class 6 cruise ship, Hondius combines advanced ice-strengthened engineering with modern comfort, accommodating up to 170 guests in stylish, eco-conscious surroundings. Designed for small-group adventure, the ship offers swift Zodiac access for shore landings, expert-led excursions, and a full program of lectures and workshops. With sustainable technologies and a strong emphasis on wildlife encounters and remote landscapes, Hondius delivers an authentic, low-impact polar expedition experience unlike any other.
