Photography Special

Set against the striking backdrops of Antarctica and South Georgia, this early-season expedition is a dream for wildlife photographers, offering pristine snowscapes, golden-hour light, and a wealth of dramatic landscapes and animal encounters—from vast penguin colonies and soaring albatrosses to seals, whales, and possibly even battling elephant seals. With extended landings timed for the best photographic conditions, expert guides, and onboard workshops covering everything from image editing to natural history, this journey is both a visual feast and a deep dive into the wild rhythms of the Southern Ocean.

Birding Special

To enrich your experience even further, a dedicated expedition ornithologist will be part of our team, offering in-depth knowledge and on-the-spot guidance as you encounter the avian wonders of the Southern Ocean. Whether you’re spotting seabirds from the deck or photographing penguin colonies ashore, our expert will be there to help you identify species, understand their behaviours, and elevate your birdwatching and photography. Onboard, you can also look forward to focused presentations and recaps that dive deeper into the fascinating world of Antarctic birdlife.

Diving Special

Antarctica’s shimmering ice shelves, immense glaciers, and jagged peaks provide a striking contrast to the powdery shores and verdant vegetation of the sub-Antarctic isles. These remote frontiers are home to a diverse array of wildlife, including numerous penguin species, whales, seals, and seabirds. Our Antarctic diving experience mirrors that of the Arctic, launching from Zodiacs to investigate underwater ice formations, marine ecosystems, and occasionally historic wrecks—all within shallow depths of around 20 meters (65 feet). Encounters may include curious penguins, agile fur seals, and possibly even elusive leopard seals. The surrounding waters, teeming with krill, offer vital clues for tracking marine activity, making each dive a unique window into this thriving underwater world.

*PLEASE NOTE: All itineraries are for guidance only. Programmes may vary depending on ice, weather, and wildlife conditions. Landings are subject to site availabilities, permissions, and environmental concerns per IAATO regulations. Official sailing plans and landing slots are scheduled with IAATO prior to the start of the season, but the expedition leader determines the final plan. Flexibility is paramount for expedition cruises. The average cruising speed for the vessel is 10.5 knots.

**Single travellers can choose between “single occupancy” at a supplement of 1.7 x the Twin or Superior cabin rate , or “sharing basis” in Twin, Triple or Quadruple category at no additional cost.
