Your next stop is the Kwa-Zulu Natal battlefields, where you learn about the historic battles between the British and Zulu kingdoms which culminated in the crushing defeat of the British at Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift, portrayed in the classic film Zulu, starring Michael Caine. You stay in Fugitive’s Drift, the property of David Rattray who was the first to give insightful historical tours of the sites which, after his untimely death, have been continued by his sons.

After flying to and spending a night in Durban, you conclude your tour with a thrilling safari at Tanda Tula Camp in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve adjoining Kruger National Park, where you can witness the Big Five (and much more) in their natural habitat and enjoy luxurious, recently upgraded accommodation under the warm African sky.
